New Perk tracked leaders, left in lead 14th, drew clear from 3 out, comfortably
Elsie´s Pride tracked leaders until lost place and dropped into last pair 9th, headway after 13th, left close 2nd next, ridden approaching 4 out, weakened after 3 out, tired and virtually pulled up run-in
Pan The Man with leader, hit 7th, reminder, not fluent 10th, ridden approaching 13th, soon beaten, left 3rd 14th, soon tailed off, beaten 3 fences
Topless held up, mistake 6th, reminders after 8th, close up when brought down 14th
Minella Tipperary led until fell 14th
Fine By Me held up, headway after 8th, disputing close 2nd when fell 14th
Freeline Fury tracking leader when fell 14th
NEW PERK, who was back down to his last winning handicap mark, stays really well and kept on strongly once left in front with the second. He did it really nicely but did not achieve a great deal for obvious reasons, although it did provide the jockey with his first win over fences.
Pan The Man has a decent record over 2m4f, so this trip was always going to test his stamina reserves to the limit. He was one of only three left after the melee but was a long way behind.
