Upright Ima held up in rear, good headway after 3 out, led approaching next, driven right out
Forty Five took keen hold in rear, smooth headway on inside when not clear run bend approaching 2 out, went 2nd between last 2, hit last, stayed on same pace
Etoile D´Or prominent, lost place after 5th, headway approaching 2 out, stayed on to take modest 3rd soon after last
Cottam Grange with leaders, one pace from 2 out
Florazine led until after 1st, led 5th until approaching 2 out, weakened run-in
Art Gallery took keen hold in rear, headway to chase leaders 4th, faded 2 out
Errol raced wide, in rear, went prominent 5th, reminders 5th, soon lost place, rallied to chase leaders 2 out, weakened approaching last
Petrichan in rear division, driven along 3rd, lost place 3 out

Dennick led after 1st, headed 5th, lost place next, tailed off 2 out

UPRIGHT IMA, whose only previous win came in March 2006, has not been at her best in recent outings and her weakness in the market didn't suggest she was expected to do much better here, but she belied that with a convincing success. Travelling well in rear, she made a swift move around the outside on the home turn, then showed a decent attitude to hold off her nearest pursuer.
Forty Five, well beaten in two novice hurdles last month after a lengthy absence, was making his handicap debut and was also the least exposed in this field. Another to be switched off out the back early, he pulled far too hard but still looked a danger when moving into contention coming to the second last. However, a blunder at the final flight just when he needed a good jump sealed his fate. There is a race in him off this mark if he learns to settle.
Cottam Grange, whose only previous win in a long career came on faster ground over a longer trip here in April 2005, was another to race handily and ran his race.
Florazine, yet to win a race and making her debut for the yard off the back of an 18-month absence, attracted market support. Racing keenly up with the pace, she seemed to be travelling well in front turning for home but had no answer when the winner ranged alongside.
Art Gallery was inclined to race in snatches and had nothing left after the second last, while Run Forest Run took a grip but was still in touch when making a total mess of the third last. He was reported to have have lost his action.
