A moderate mares' bumper of which BELLA HAZE was something of a surprise winner. A winning pointer who had a run in a bumper on her last appearance back in April, she was in front with three-quarters of a mile to run and kept galloping, but did not have much to spare at the line.

Ellen Tilley has improved with each run and she would have got up with a bit further to run. Her dam was a decent hurdler/chaser at around 3m and she should make the grade over obstacles.

Elegant Olive, a half-sister to a 2m4f chase winner, went to post early. Held up, she improved to go into third place before the home turn but could not quicken up.

Kay For Karbia, out of a bumper runner-up and related to some winning chasers, stayed on pleasingly on this first run since the spring.
