AWATUKI had not been at his best in three previous starts for his current yard but he returned to something like his best. He is a fair sort around this trip on Polytrack, he also seems to like Kempton, and it will be interesting to see if he can build on this.
Folio is back on a fair mark and ran creditably. A stronger overall gallop would have suited and, although he doesn't have the best of strike-rates, he's capable of winning a similar event this winter when things drop right.
Bluejain fared the best of those held up, and this relatively lightly raced sort, who is unlikely to be inconvenienced by the stepback to 1m, should continue to give a good account in this type of event.
Yankee Storm did not seem to fail through lack of stamina in the first-time cheekpieces on what was his first run over this trip and a first outing for his new stable. He is unlikely to mind a drop to distances around 1m.
Silver Regent was not totally disgraced on his all-weather debut in a race in which the hold-up horses were at a bit of a disadvantage. He will, however, have to show a bit more before he becomes a solid betting proposition.
