Fyodor took keen hold, held up towards rear, steady headway halfway, challenged on bit entering final furlong, shaken up to lead inside final furlong, pushed clear, easily
Biniou steadied after start, held up in rear, not clear run over 1f out, headway 1f out, kept on well to snatch 2nd on post, no chance with winner
Lone Wolfe chased leader until led 2f out, soon ridden, headed inside final furlong, not pace of winner, lost 2nd on post
Irish Pearl tracked leading pair, switched inside and effort well over 1f out, pressed leaders entering final furlong, weakened inside final furlong
Not My Choice led until headed 2f out, soon driven, weakened just inside final furlong
Epic Odyssey chased leaders, ridden 2f out, weakened entering final furlong
Tartatartufata chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, lost place 2f out, kept on same pace after
Cape dropped in behind after start, ridden halfway, never troubled leaders
Harlech Castle never going well, midfield and pushed along until dropped to rear over 3f out, well behind and eased over 1f out
FYODOR, with the headgear left off, confirmed himself as good as ever on this second start for his new yard and showed he is equally effective over 6f as over 5f. This strong traveller won with more in hand than the official margin suggests and he should be able to pick up another decent sprint this winter when things drop right.
Biniou has been disappointing but turned in a much more encouraging display. However, consistency has not been his strongest suit, he is still high enough in the weights and it remains to be seen whether this can be built on next time.
Lone Wolfe has been running well on Polytrack and again seemed to give it his best shot. He looks a good guide to this form and he should continue to go well either over this trip or over 7f.
Not My Choice had missed the break on his two previous starts but jumped out much better in first-time cheekpieces and almost certainly did too much too soon. His stable has been in form but he has little margin for error from this mark.
Epic Odyssey, back on Polytrack on this first run for new connections, shaped as though this run was just needed. He will have to show a bit more before he is worth a bet, though.
Harlech Castle was closely matched with Irish Pearl on recent Fibresand form but ran as though something amiss. He had looked progressive up to this point.
