IVORY SILK had been running consistently well over 6f but turned in an improved effort on this first run over 5f in first-time blinkers on this first run for her new yard. The strong pace suited her and she is the type to win again over 5f or 6f.
Doubtful Sound ran creditably from a double-figure draw returned to the minimum trip. He's a reliable sort and a good guide to this form who should continue to go well, especially when returned to further.
The well-drawn Fast Freddie was far from disgraced under his penalty after being taken on for the lead. He fared the best of the three that helped to force the strong gallop and should continue to run well on Polytrack, especially when it looks as though he will be able to dominate.
Sands Crooner, who won at Wolverhampton last time, was not disgraced after missing the break. He's a multiple winner on sand but is the type who needs things to drop right.
Gold Express again lost ground at the start on only this second all-weather start but shaped as though the return to 6f would see him in a better light. He is worth another chance in ordinary company.
